My Healing Journey: Understanding What I Didn’t Know

My Healing Journey: Understanding What I Didn’t Know

For a long time, I believed I understood my sister’s pain. We were close. We shared everything. And yet, looking back, I realize there were so many things I simply didn’t know—things I didn’t have the language, training, or awareness to understand.

I didn’t understand why she was always scared.

I didn’t understand why she felt like she couldn’t be alone.

I didn’t understand the depth of the emotional weight she carried.

At the time, I encouraged her in the only way I knew how. I would say, “Come on, you can do it,” because that was the best support I understood back then. But now, after gaining more education and walking through my own journey of healing and study, I see her differently. I see what she was fighting.

I believe she suffered silently in ways I could not recognize.

Even though I was physically there, I didn’t fully see her battles.

I didn’t understand how overwhelmed her body must have been.

I didn’t know that toxins, fear, and emotional exhaustion can shape a person’s reactions, decisions, and identity.

And even with all of that, I know I did the best I could with the understanding I had at the time. I showed up. I went above and beyond. I loved her deeply. But I didn’t yet have the knowledge to recognize the signs of what she was truly carrying.

It wasn’t until after she passed that the pieces started to make sense.

As I continued my training, my certifications, and my personal research into natural healing, I began to understand her fear.

Her decisions.

Her behavior.

Her exhaustion.

I realized her body was overwhelmed and out of balance. She was responsible for her choices—but she was also fighting a deeper battle within her own system.

And that realization became one of the foundational reasons behind Legends of Hope.

Because no one should have to walk their healing journey alone.

No woman should feel misunderstood or unseen.

No mother, sister, or daughter should carry silent suffering without someone who understands the deeper root.

Legends of Hope was created from a place of compassion and purpose—so people don’t have to experience the isolation my sister felt.

It’s more than oils or shea butter.

It’s education.

It’s connection.

It’s hope.

Every formula I create, every ingredient I study, every product I release is connected to this mission:

To help the body heal gently.

To remove toxicity.

To support emotional wellness.

To give people the understanding and support I wish my sister had.

And I will continue to study, continue to learn, and continue to grow—because the more I understand, the better I can help someone else feel seen, supported, and not alone on their journey.

This is my purpose.

This is why Legends of Hope exists.

This is my healing journey.
